Galaxy to play Chivas USA in Western Conference Semifinal Series

The Galaxy's playoff schedule is set, and very little traveling will be required.

LA's first playoff game since the 2005 MLS CUP Final will be on Sunday, Nov. 1 at 2 p.m. at The Home Depot Center, though not as the home team. Galaxy will face Chivas USA in the opening round of the 2009 MLS Cup Playoff as the away team in the first leg of the Western Conference Semifinals.

The second will be a week later on Sunday, Nov. 8, also at The Home Depot Center, at 4:30 p.m. The team with most goals in the aggregate score will win the series.

The winner of first ever playoff edition of the SuperClasico will advance to play either Houston Dynamo or Seattle Sounders FC in Western Conference Finals.

Tickets are on sale now.

Omar will be a run away with the rookie of the year honor, but shouldn't AJ have been at least nominated? I do not see his name in any voting, and he is apart of the stingy defense. All AJ has been asked is to play Left-Back, then Right-Back when Sean got Injured, and that alone should count to be at least nominated, considering the job they both have done.If I am not mistaken, AJ & Omar have the same amount of goals and assist.

Its Monday morning...

A) Where is Tutino's call regarding the goals scored this weekend

B) The post celebration pics after the game?

Thanks

Great point about AJ---he should get a bit more pub. De LaGarza and Omar both have looked like veterans on our backline for most of the season. And with Franklin, that backline has a promising future and should only improve over the years.
